Privacy Policy
CompareLLM is built with privacy-by-design. We do not sell user data, build advertising profiles, or run third-party ad networks. We do use Google Analytics to measure site usage in aggregate — what that collects is described below.
Account Credentials & Encryption
Passwords are cryptographically salted and hashed using bcrypt (10 rounds). Plaintext passwords never touch logs or databases.
HTTP-Only Signed Session Cookies
Authenticated sessions are stored in encrypted, signed httpOnly cookies (14-day validity). JavaScript in browser extensions cannot access session tokens.
Community Votes & Watchlists
Matchup votes, model watchlist bookmarks, and discussions are stored securely in MongoDB and associated solely with your user profile.
Usage Analytics
This deployment loads Google Analytics 4 (and optionally Google Tag Manager) to count page views and feature usage — which comparisons and leaderboards get opened, and on what class of device. IP addresses are anonymised. Under Google Consent Mode v2 we set ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization to denied by default, so the data is not used for advertising or personalisation; analytics_storage is granted, which means an analytics cookie is set. Blocking it with an extension or browser setting does not affect any feature of the site.
Data Retention & Account Deletion
You retain the right to delete your account, votes, and comments at any time upon request to the deployed platform administrator.
